Shamik worked in Asea Brown Boveri & Pearson Plc, UK before stepping in Telecom Sector where he had very long innings. He worked as Head of Finance Function for Airtel and then moved on to take Business Role as CEO for Telemedia Southern Region. Next assignment for him was as CEO of start up Telecom Operator S-Tel . After taking S Tel on growth journey , Shamik switched over to take on the role of Joint President & COO and Chief Strategist of Reliance Communications.
