Atul Bindal is a senior business leader with well over two decades of experience and a strong reputation in building profitable businesses in telecom, digital, industrial and consumer sectors across India and Asia.

Atul is currently active in start-up space, early-stage investing and advising midsize companies in a number of different capacities, and is an Investment Committee Member and Fund Advisor for Unitus Seed Fund. Earlier, during this phase, Atul was Managing Director of Khosla Ventures Advisory Services, responsible for providing venture-assistance, operational expertise and leadership for India and Asia region.

Previously, Atul was with Bharti Airtel for over eight years as a key member of the top-team that scripted and delivered the India telecom success-story. Atul was President Mobile Services, Bharti Airtel for India/South Asia where he led the P&L for 160 million customers business, delivering $1.5 billion FCF in a 13 players market. Earlier as President Telemedia, he turned around the loss-making landline & broadband business into a vibrant $800 million, 43% EBITDA operation and led the successful launch of Airtel Direct-to-Home Satellite TV business.

Earlier, Atul served with Honeywell/AlliedSignal for almost seven years in India & Asia in various P&L and senior functional roles across energy, aerospace and automotive sectors. Atul was VP & GM for Asia, Middle East & Africa for Honeywell Power Systems where he delivered the Asia business model, built risk-bearing partnerships, managed government & regulatory environments, and set up operations from scratch. Atul was on the global board of Honeywell Power Systems Inc, and a member of the CII sub-committee on Energy and Power.

Prior to that, Atul was Commercial Director, Asia-Pacific of DHL at Singapore, with responsibility for marketing, sales, service & e-commerce for the $1.3 billion region. Earlier in his career, Atul has served in leadership roles in marketing, sales, and general management with companies such as Unilever, Shell and American Express, playing an instrumental role in creating memorable brands and shaping impactful businesses.

Atul is an MBA from IIM Calcutta and an AMP graduate from Harvard Business School. His first degree was in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering, University of Delhi.
